BANKSETA offers two learnership programs annually: Letsema for post-matric candidates and Kuyasa for postgraduates. Applications are open from July to August each year for the following year.

Learnership opportunities are advertised in national newspapers. the BANKSETA website and our linked social media pages. During the application period, you can download the Learnership application forms from the BANKSETA website or pick them up at any BANKSETA office.

Letsema Post-matric Learnership Programme;
A valid certified copy of a Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum pass of 50% in English AND a minimum pass of 50% in Accounting OR a minimum of 50% in Mathematics OR a minimum of 60% in Maths Literacy
On the last page of the application form, you will find the addresses, fax numbers, and email addresses where you can submit your application.
Unfortunately, you will need to wait until next year to apply, as a matric certificate is required for eligibility.
As stated on the second page of the application form, if you have not been contacted for an interview by a specified date, please assume your application was not successful.
To obtain a new copy of your certificate, please contact the training provider where you received your qualification. They can issue a replacement certificate upon request.
This is usually open around May or June each year
Kuyasa Learnership Post-matric Programme
A completed three year tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Risk Management,
Information Technology, Marketing, Financial Accounting, Financial Management or Law

Organisations are required to provide BANKSETA with the information about the New Skills Development facilitator (SDF) including their name and contact information including phone or email address and cell phone number. This information can be sent to info@bankseta.org.za
Proof of Payment can be requested by emailing info@bankseta.org.za with the subject line “Request for Proof of Payment”.
Feedback on Funding Window applications can be expected within thirty (30) days from the closing date of the Funding Window.

The SETA Legislation requires that the Minister of Higher Education and Training appoints all Board Members. Board Members are appointed for a period of five (5) years.
