BANKSETA CONSULTATIONS WITH STAKEHOLDERS ON THE DRAFT SECTOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING AUTHORITY (SETA) GRANT REGULATIONS REGARDING MONIES RECEIVED BY SETAS AND RELATED MATTERS
The Banking Sector Education and Training Authority (BANKSETA) is mandated to implement, as required, deliverables as set out by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) under the leadership of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Honourable, Dr. Bonginkosi Emmanuel Nzimande.
The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation published draft SETA Regulations Regarding Monies Received by SETAs and Related Matters (SETA Grant Regulations) in the Government Gazette number 47926 on 27 January 2023, for public comments. The public comments are required to be submitted within 21 days from date of publication of the notice and the due date for submission of comments is Friday, 17 February 2023. The BANKSETA intends to hold broad consultations with all key stakeholders with a view to receiving inputs and comments which will be consolidated and considered by the BANKSETA as part of the SETA’s submission to the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
